RI, RA: Development of software features of a digital twin for 5G/6G networks

Innovative communications systems are key technologies for digitization and pave the way for a hyperconnected economy and society. The future mobile communications standard 6G will play an important role in this. [1] 6G will make numerous new applications possible, such as digital twins.
A digital twin is a detailed virtual representation of a form, function or state of real objects or processes, such as a production machine in a factory, a vehicle or an energy or communications network. Digital twins enable analysis of current states, state predictions, and simulations running in parallel with reality. [2]

Job duties:

  • Creation of user interface (UI) elements in real-time development environment Unity 3D
  • Integration of simulation data into Unity 3D
  • Development of software features for a digital twin

Required knowledge:

  • Basic knowledge in literature research
  • Basic knowledge of C# or comparable development environments
  • Basic knowledge of Unity 3D (desirable/optional)
